GWH Safety Upgrade Feedback to RMS Closes on 7th February

 

The Australian and NSW governments are investing $250 million to upgrade the Great Western Highway between Katoomba and Lithgow. Roads and Maritime Services is managing these projects. Hartley Valley Road Safety Upgrade

Roads and Maritime has prepared a Review of Environmental Factors (REF) for the proposed safety upgrade of Hartley Valley. Road designs were last shown to the community in October 2012, for wider stakeholder consideration. Roads and Maritime considered feedback received when preparing the Review of Environmental Factors (REF) for the upgrades.

Community feedback for the two packages of safety upgrades (for Hartley Valley and Mt Victoria) is invited until 7 February 2014. Roads and Maritime will consider this feedback in the design of the safety upgrades. Preliminary designs in response to this feedback will be outlined in the following reports that will be made available in early 2014 for review by the community:

  • Submission report for Mount Victoria
  • Submission report for Hartley Valley.
