Tidy Town Awards to the Local Area

THE LITHGOW region has once again proven to be one of the state’s best following the announcement of the 2013 Keep Australia Beautiful NSW Tidy Towns, Sustainable Communities Awards.

The results showed an interesting variety in achievements.

The Hartley District Progress Association was highly commended in the Cultural Heritage Award for their Western Crossing Commemorations.

Rydal was also highly commended in the same category for their ‘A Family Affair- A Historical Gem’.

Zig Zag Public School was recognised yet again in the School Environment section, also receiving a highly commended.

Hard work at Hassans Walls Lookout has paid off, securing Lithgow another highly commended, this time in the Wildlife Corridors and Habitat Conservation Award.
