Hartley is longing for another Long Lunch

The sun was shining, the lamb-a-la-Moodie was sizzling on the fire and the dulcet tones of Peter Miller Robinson filled the air.

Over 110 people filled the marque at the Old Hartley School to partake of the 2nd annual Hartley Long Lunch. It was a chance to catch up with old friends and make new ones with a variety of locals and out-of towners coming together to eat drink and be merry.

Raffles and lucky door prizes from generous local businesses saw a few people going home with goodies bags and vouchers, but everyone left with big smiles on their faces.

The most asked question of the day is “When is the next one?”. Once the Hartley District Progress Association Social Committee have had a rest, they will no doubt start planning for next year.

In the mean time, bookings will soon be open for the HDPA Quiz night on 22 July. So get together a few friend, sharpen your brains and start studying!
